Understanding the Home page
What is the Home tab?
Home is your personal starting point, right beside the Dormly logo. It answers “what should I pay attention to today?” — showing only the things that need you now, ordered with the most time-sensitive on top. It's tailored to your account: students see their housing journey, roommates, shopping, chores, messages, move-in and housing alerts; listers see listings, offers, waitlists and verification; staff see moderation queues. When there's nothing to act on, it simply says you're all caught up.
What are the suggestions Dormly shows me?
Those small “next step” cards are Dormly's recommendations for you. Dormly looks at where you are in your housing journey — verified yet, roommate profile done, listings saved, household set up, move-in approaching — and gently suggests the single most useful next thing to do, with a clear button to do it. It only ever shows one suggestion at a time so it never nags, and every card has a “Why am I seeing this?” link that explains the reason. You can dismiss a suggestion for the day; if it's still relevant, it'll come back later.
