About two weeks before move-in, ask your landlord which utilities are included and which are on you (commonly electricity, gas, water/sewer, and trash). Set up the ones you're responsible for in your name, effective your move-in date, so you're not left in the dark. For internet, check which providers serve your address, compare plans, and schedule installation for move-in week — appointments fill up fast near campus in August. Add these tasks to your Housing Calendar so nothing slips.
