What items are prohibited in the Marketplace?
For everyone's safety, you can't list: weapons; drugs and paraphernalia; alcohol; nicotine and vaping products; prescription or over-the-counter medications; stolen goods; counterfeit goods; adult content; hazardous, recalled, or illegal items; live animals; and academic-integrity materials (test banks, completed assignments, essay or cheating services, and account credentials). Listing prohibited items can get your post removed and your account actioned.
Are Marketplace photos checked automatically?
Yes. When you publish, your photos are automatically screened for unsafe content (nudity or sexual content, graphic violence, weapons, and illegal goods). Publishing stays instant — the check runs in the background. If a photo is flagged, the whole item is hidden from browse and sent to the Dormly team for review; you'll still see it in My Items, and a reviewer can release it if it was flagged by mistake. This is in addition to person-reported takedowns, and photos always have their location data (EXIF) stripped on upload for your privacy.
