How does roommate matching work?
Dormly uses your school, grade, schedule, interests, and lifestyle preferences to suggest compatible roommates. Browse profiles, save favorites, and message anyone you're interested in — no mutual match required.
Can I save roommate preference presets?
Yes. In Profile → Filters, build a set of roommate preferences (cleanliness, sleep schedule, interests, etc.) and save it as a preset. Apply it any time from the roommate browse page so you don't have to re-pick the same filters.
What are the two compatibility scores?
Profile Match is based on how similar your roommate questionnaire answers are. Filter Match (shown when you have filters active) is based on how many of your current filters a roommate meets. Tap the ⭐ on any active filter to make it a Must-have — Must-have filters are required and hide anyone who doesn't meet them, while Nice-to-have filters affect the Filter Match score but never hide someone.
